The average depth of the lake is 11.8 meters, while at its deepest point it is 34.3 meters. Deep Lake is an ideal place for sailing, as its bottom is even and sparsely vegetated.
Thanks to the sloping and wooded shores at the piers, the lake's surroundings are very picturesque. Access to the body of water is not difficult - there are many wild descents into the water and piers. Głębokie Lake is also connected with other lakes - Inulec, Zewłążek and Płociczno. An additional attraction is the possibility of swimming through a narrow isthmus under the tracks and road to Inulec Lake.
The waters of Głębokie Lake have class II purity and are characterized by quite high transparency. It is very popular among anglers. Near the lake there is the Mazurian Landscape Park.
