A complex of two buildings - a 6-story building at the corner of Podskarbinska and Drwęcka Streets (1B) and a two-story building behind it (1A) was erected as part of the construction of the first stage of the "Aleje Praskie" housing estate in 2022-2023 by Develia according to the design of architects from FBT - Pracownia Architektury i Urbanistyki. Interesting fact:
In 1937-1938 buildings for the Jenike Brothers Crane Factory were erected on the site. After the war, a number of new industrial buildings were erected for the needs of the established state-owned armaments plant under the name: Wytwórnia Sprzętu Komunikacyjnego "Warsaw II. In 2013, the former Wytwórnia Sprzętu Komunikacyjnego "Warszawa II" as Bumar Ammunicja Spółka Akcyjna Oddział WSK "PZL-WARSZAWA II" ceased operations.
Location
New developments on Podskarbinska Street, as well as on Żupnicza, Minska and Drwęcka Streets have changed the face of this part of Praga-South.
